1986 comedy out of Australia is so old-fashioned but has its romantic charm.

A surprise run-away hit for audiences the world over. Is it worhy? Yes. Crocodile Dundee is one of the few Australian productions that has received well deserved recognition and this comes through the simple fact of how enjoyable it is in it's simplicity. The age old story of people in different surroundings, fish out of the water, which ultimately brings two people together, but there is nothing cliche' about this picture because it uses many guises to mask itself. Paul Hogan's character is impossible to not like, his generosity and humble manerisms give each audience member a sense of warmth (though many other countries took this character as a representation of the Australian culture, which he is not.) Crocodile Dundee, ultimately, is a film that is very straight-forward, simplistic, and requires little concentration but this is a film that knows where it is going, and where it is going is to fill it's audience with laughter and warmth, which it succeeds with.

An absolute classic that?s still a great watch to this day. A love story with a difference when opposites attract in a culture clash as an adventure takes place. Paul Hogan will be remembered for a long time to come for this role.

One of those watch over and over type of films.

Most of you flixster people are probably yanks so ill set you straight. Im an Aussie, my dad's just like Mick Dundee. Australia is riddled with good natured folk like this, and none of you would last 5 seconds in our natrual environment. Crocs, snakes, bats, spiders, all sorts of nasties. Its a wonder we make it back from our letterbox alive. This film perfectly demonstrates us and i couldnt be prouder!

Justins Best Bit: Mick's larrakin nature.

Highly Recommended! A wonderfully done film that has the movie making magic just right. Everything from the story, the acting, the laughs and the music all contribute to a very memorable comedy. Paul Hogan is most memorable as Mick Dundee and Linda Kozlowski is perfect for her role. This is a landmark Hollywood film. One of my childhood favourites.
