Mickey Mouse scared me and still does... but other than that I loved the movie. Yeah not even those demons scared me... Just MM. Watching the composers and the orchestra was SUPER boring too.

My favorite Disney movie. You can just tune out and watch so next to no thought is required. Not that that's the case with most Disney movies of the era, but still. Watching it again after not seeing Fantasia in several years tells me it's not as great as I'd originally surmised, but its 40s eye candy through a medium which at the time was new and exciting. Damn great stuff regardless. I wish Disney did more of this back in the day.

Watch this again, this is a masterpiece. As a child, I couldn't watch it all in one go, it didn't seem interesting enough and that last one with the Devil scared me. Watching it again now, being able to see how incredible the animation is and how well it goes with the music - it's brilliant.

The most ambitious animated feature ever to come out of the Disney studios, FANTASIA integrates famous works of classical music with wildly inventive and extraordinarily imaginative visuals in an episodic masterpiece. Calling it one of Disney's greatest achievements is an understatement.
But FANTASIA is not simply a "cinematic masterpiece". It is, more or less, a journey through portals and dimensions that can only exist within the parallel universes of our minds. And yet, there it is, on screen and alive. The film embodies Walt Disney's creativity, and deepest enriched imaginations. As we sit and listen to classic music and envision places and stories that take place in them, we often get bright and beautiful pictures, and that is what FANTASIA brings us; remarkable reflections of our sub-concious visions within the music itself.

Pretty great stuff. I like the flying unicorn part. Music was great and full of animation Disney wouldn't dare touch anymore.
