A solid movie in the tradition of "The Pink Panther" and "Pure Luck" Steve Carell is a very good actor, with a large range, unlike other comedic actors (like Jim Carey) Carell can do dramatic parts. This movie is slap stick, but great. He plays a novice government agent/spy who is truly and idiot. Carell, and Hathaway work well together.Entertaining, and funny. If you like "the pink panther" Any of the "Austin Powers" movies, or "Pure Luck" (Danny Glover and Martin Short) you'll like this movie.

wow i have just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a brilliant movie 2 watch....this has got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie...i was surprised when i saw this movie that the rock played a bad guy in this movie...the fight scenes/car chase scenes throughout this movie are all really good throughout the gags/1 liners are amazing throughout this movie as well...its like johnny english but on a different take but its really stupid but really funny n enetertaining throughout...i think that the director of this Action & Adventure, Comedy movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie...ermn bill murray has a blink n u miss it cameo (he plays the man in the tree)....ermn patrick warburton (who does the voice of joe in family guy has a cameo at the end of this movie)...i think that its hero (the man who plays hero in the hit tv show heroes) plays in this movie as well...this is a great movie 2 watch n its really far fetched but its still really kewl 2 watch throughout as well

Works as well as it does not because of the quality of the jokes but due to the excellent delivery of Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway.

It is also totally official that Anne Hathaway is the most beautiful woman in the world. Just watch this film.

"Get Smart comes to us as a big-screen adaptation of an old TV show, an exercise that has succeeded and failed in equal measure in the past. It plays well as both a throwback for anyone who watched the show or was around in the general era but also sits comfortably as a modern action/comedy flick, with the key element of a likable leading guy to carry it along. And although at its core it's not got the most original of basic storylines, Get Smart is successful at delivering good solid laughs at just the right moments and surprisingly impressive action to go along with it."

I didnt have high hopes for this movie in the first place, even the trailers made it look like an average funny movie, which is exactly what it is. There are some laugh out loud moments while there are some jokes which fall flat on their face, however Carell's charm holds this movie together, much like he did with Evan Almighty.

I LOVED this movie! I knew it was going to be funny, but I didn't know it would be THAT funny! I loved it. I was the only reason in the theatre too, so that made it even better. And, for some reason, I love Anne Hathaway

I saw this tonight in the cinema cause a friend really loves Anne Hathaway. It started off insanely crap actually. it was turning into one of those movies i cant wait to get out of but when anne hathaway started appearing more in it and when they started their mission it got better. it was light hearted, slightly funny and really predictable but was a good watch. not a total waste of 6 quid to see it.

although i think sme friends really hate going to the cinema with me cause i had told them the ending way near the start. the big mysterious twist or revelation wasn't sooo mysterious to me and they get pissed off cause i know xD haha to me it was obvious. :))

When the sequel, which isn't that good, is better than the first one it really isn't a good movie. For some reason, I don't like Steve Carell...maybe that's the reason I don't like the movie...love Anne Hathaway though.

Steve Carell had a good representation (I only remember a few things of the tv show, but I'm pretty sure that's true). The problem was that the movie was quite boring... There were only a few funny things and the some stuff turned out to be predictable.

Get Smart was the funniest movie this year so far. I have seen a lot of funny movies this year but this was the funniest. This movie just keeps getting funnier and funnier as it goes on. It kind of started out slow but then picked up a lot. I think that this will be easily an instant classic. Most adults will really love this movie because they grew up with the TV show. I think mostly any ages can enjoy it as well. The action was very funny and faun to watch. They mixed it all in very well. The acting was great between every one. The whole cast did an amazing job. I think this is probably Steve Carrels best movie yet. He made this movie so much funnier than it was. I love how he can just make you laugh with his face expressions. Anne Hathway was great as well and added a ton of laughs. The movie was just a perfect length not to long not to short. It was well worth your money and time to go see. I think you should definitely give this movie a chance and go see it. So all and all just give this movie a chance and go see it. The movie might start out slow but just give it time to pick up. I liked it and would go see it again. Best comedy movie of the year when all said and done.

Bungling secret agent Maxwell Smart, also known as Agent 86 for CONTROL, is on a mission to battle the forces of their evil crime nemesis known as KAOS with his more-competent partner Agent 99, (whose real name is never revealed) at his side. When the headquarters of U.S. spy agency Control is attacked and the identities of its agents compromised, the Chief has no choice but to promote his ever-eager analyst Maxwell Smart, who has always dreams of working in the field alongside stalwart superstar Agent 23. Smart will do whatever it takes to thwart the latest plot for world domination by KAOS.

Get Smart was on my list of "to see" this year for a while and luckily I manged to pick the time to go and finally have seen it. I am pleasently suprised and have to admit that I laughed a lot but under restrain considering the vast amount of irritating 15 year old kids around me, mucking around. Definatly a film I will have to watch again considering my annoyance at the kids in the cinema. However I enjoyed it a lot and Get Smart is probably Peter Segal's best film.

Get Smart is based around the 60's TV show of the same name and from the pictures of the show that I've seen, the majority of the characters look exactly like the TV Show. So that's a bonus. Casting for Get Smart is brilliant and pretty well done indeed. Steve Carrell, as most people know, is a comic genuis and just the very image of his face makes you laugh. Carrell has a brilliant comic talent and delivers lines to perfection with such brilliant comic timing, that will leave you laughing and laughing. The lines for Max Smart seemed to be entirely written for him and him alone and I'm sure no-one else is more suited for this role than him. Anne Hathaway is, like Carrell perfect as Agent 99, although is depicted as more intelligent than Smart doesn't deliver nearly as many funny lines. She is also pretty spot on as Agent 99 and is your modern-day woman who out-smarts Smart so to speak. I would have liked to see more comic lines for her as we knew she can do it, as she did in The Princess Diaries. Alan Arkin steals every scene he's in and just showcases what a true acting legend he really is and how much he brings to the roles he takes. Worth mentioning the scene with the Vic-President, HA! Had me laughing-just totally unlike what you would expect of him. Notable mention to Dwayne Johnson and a smale cameo from the great Bill Murray, who seriously made my day. Also the great Terrrance Stamp of "General Zod" Fame. Ha I loved the scene where the two met.

There are a few flaws however. I think the only thing wrong with Get Smart is the screenplay. Whoever wrote it obviosuly wrote the lines for Carrell but not for the rest of the cast. Some of the jokes feel old and just not funny others are hilaous however. Naturally the film doesn't try and be brillianta dn it knows that so perhaps the old jokes where because of that I don't know. Just felt like there was something missing from the script. Wahat makes up for the poor screenplay is the smart delivery of the lines and the situation they're in. Trust me, if you're in a great cinema with great company you will laugh a lot. Perhaps I am still annoyed by the group of kids talking and kicking my site throughout the film.

Get Smart is original and different to many of the comedies released this year and far superioir in every way. I think the key to it's sucess is the likeablity factr of the cast. You don't feel irritated by them, which translates to you in a positive way thoughout the film. It's directed well and has a great opening sequence and an ending sequence which will have you singing the theme tune when you get home.

Get Smart is just the perfect film to cheer you over the summer months and will have you laughing. Perhaps not out-loud but also smiling at the presence of Carrell every time. I highly recomened this one to ne and all. Close to be very good and perhaps if this becomes a franchise they can work on the screenplay which was the only flaw of the film.

Funnier than I thought it'd be. It's a bit of a shame that the trailer spoils the best bits too. Didnt like Terence Stamp as the bad guy - poor choice. Worth a watch if you want a laugh.

Untaxing entertainment with a few good laughs and some likeable characters - the four actors with names above title are all good in their roles and whereas it might not win any prizes for originality, it lands firmly into the above average (and possibly overrated by half a star) three and a half star zone that many of my recent watches have done.

I thought that Dwayne Johnson was amazing.
I liked Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell as partners but I didn't like them as a romantic couple.
And Masi just stole the show. I wanted to see more of him.
