Okay, so MAMMA MIA made me go to this movie with her. The doe-eyed Seyfried is the main reason you want to keep watching; just a gorgeous, uber-talented girl. I guess Firth & Cooper are pretty easy on the eyes as well. The humor was mediocre & predictable at best. Streep's singing chops have gotten better. I wouldn't kick Brosnan outta bed, but he can't sing for $?@*. I would've learned better choreography from a Barney video. Streep, Walters & Baranski make the film seem like a menopause festival. For some-odd reason it seems like the musicals of today lack the "magic" the old 50s & 60s musicals had/have. Overall, not super-impressed. Just a whole bunch of beautiful people getting together in a beautiful setting to make a beautiful mess! I was expecting more from this star-studded cast. Perhaps the choreography & costuming during the credits was the only bonus? If that.

Beautiful movie. Meryl Strep ended up being an amazing singer. Pierce Brosnan really can't sing a lick, but darn it if he doesn't look good trying!

This movie was more silly and plotless than I anticipated. But the ABBA songs were fun! The beautiful, beautiful setting made me want to jet off to Greece today! But I thought the man Sophie was marrying was a tool. I REALLY didn't like him.

What can I say? It's like our lovely little play... don't go see this expecting Shakespeare. I have a number of minor criticisms, but all in all, I could watch Meryl Streep read the newspaper and be pulled in. And I think whoever came up with the sing-along version idea was a genius. (But I sing along every day, so probably won't be doing that anytime soon.)

I've been telling everyone it's your typical cheesy musical. The songs were great - but Pierce Brosnan should not sing - he just can't :( I thought Julie Walters did a great job though. I've been singing the songs ever since.

First of all it's messy as already mentioned, but that's besides the point, I went in for some good fun musical style, but I got a mix of everything and some of the weakest choreography I have seen in ages, the editing didn't help. Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan were pretty much the shining stars of the whole affair while everyone else aside from Streep's friends floundered. When everything is leading up to the wedding and then there's a cop out, there's a problem. The story was iffy to begin with and never got better. Best moments to be had would be the Dancing Queen number after that it was a mess and went straight downward.

It's sad to see all that talent wasted, as well as some good musical numbers wasted. Oh well, can't believe I spent 10 bucks to see this.

I quite enjoyed this movie musical. I left the theater with a smile on my face. If you enjoy a good musical this one is for you. A fair warning though Pierce Brosnan really shouldn't ever sing again.

Better then I was expecting...and I guess for a movie adapted from a musical adapted from hits from the Ultimate Wedding Disco Band, Abba, its done pretty well. It's like watching a high budget video of somebody's kareoke night - you understand the amount of fun they must have had filming this, but when you're in a cinema dragged in by girly friends, listening to people singing Dancing Queen while stuffing sickly sweet popcorn in their mouths...no thanks.

I really loved this movie. The story line was well developed and full of fun and laughs. The actors did a wonderful job in bringing this feature to life and the songs fit into the story line pretty well. Pierce Brosnon did a wonderful job portraying his character but unfortunately has not gifted with the ability of song, unlike Meryl Steep who did suprisingly well for someone whos forte is not musicals. This movie will have you laughing and bopping along in your seat the whole way through. This truely is the ultimate chick flick!
