This is a really great movie, the jock, the goth, the rebel, the princess and the nerd, it all matches in nicely. But I think that at the end it should show a bit more than him holding up the earring looking triumphant..it should have shown the next day at school:)

Many of these movies from the 80s I'm really rewatching for the first time.

This is one of these films. You can relate to any one of the characters; from the nerd, to the jock, to the rebel, to the popular kid and the outsider.

Fell in love with Judd Nelson in this movie! lol I always like those "bad boys" in high school...hahaha. Plus, you can't ask for a better theme song..."Don't you...forget about me..." yep, just love it.

A "keep it real" movie about viewing life from someone else's perspective. I really like the movie more now than I did when I first saw it. I say it's a "keep it real movie" because kids have a way of being blunt, and these teens' political incorrectness spoke stereotypes, but ultimately proved that there are commonalities between us all that are basic and fundamental....and crosses any pseudo-relevance we (as a society) can construct. :o)

Quintessential teen film from the 80's. The movie is directed by John Hughes who specialized in this type of flick. One of the best films of its kind.

Easily the most powerful, poignant movie from my teenage years. This movie still speaks to me. And it's still so quotable.

Some love this. I thought it was distinctly average. Acting wasn't great and story was run of the mill.

My mom found the movie at Blockbuster or something and we all watched it together. It was very funny and good. Lots of cussing, though. LOTS of it!

Well finally I have seen this movie from start to finish. Definitely alot different then what I was expecting. First of all I thought it would be like your typical teenager teen movie. Thats not the case, since it s a R rated movie. Some of the scenes I could not believe what I was seeing. For instance the scene when Bender was acting out how it was at his parent's house. Claire using her lipstick by using her breasts to put it on. Also the principal's threat about going to take out Bender when hes older sometime in the future. My favorite character was Allison. Like every scene she was in, it was something you just had to watch. She was just off the wall, a compulsive liar, smart witty and very cute whichever form she chose. Andy was a nice touch to the group. Emilo Estevez is definitely something to look at in the looks department- especially in his younger years. Molly Ringwald, I just really love her. Shes that unusual attractive hot female. A female with attitude and class. Last of all but not least the nerd, or "brain" Brian. I could not believe this is the same punk who made it very hard for Edward in Edward Scissorhands. Regardless of that happening, he did a marvelous job in this movie. His acting and the rest of the Breakfast Club. Great soundtrack and one of my favorite songs of all time the unforgettable Don't You Forget About Me. Either way you like teen movies and something great to watch. Check it out!

I'm really amused that they managed to make 5 kids sitting in the library for a couple of hours interesting. That's really good film making right there.

OMG!!!!! That rebel guy... John, right?? Anyway, he is SSSOOOOOOO hot!!!!!!!! I just wanna hug him and kiss him!!!!!!!!!!!! Gosh!!!!!!!

OMG!! I HATE CLAIRE!!!!!! She is sucha a MAJOR Biatch!!!!! She doesn't deserve Bender!!!! He's too hot for her!!!!!!!! Allison is fricken hilarious!!!!!! She's TOTALLY a compulsive liar!!!!! She was very pretty at the end tho... Andrew... wow, he's kinda hot, i sorta wanted to squeeze his arms, to feel his muscles... Him and Allison make a good couple. I think Brian is most like me, a total brainiac. But I dont think i would attemp suicide JUST because I failed shop class...

Thats about all the comments I want to make. ^_^

This was the first R-rated movie I ever saw. I felt so naughty! Ally Sheedy was inspired; she was so odd. She was my favorite character in the movie, followed closely be Judd Nelson. What a bad a**. I drool for his coolness.

This is one of those movies that just sticks with you. The characters were lovable and yet very real. The plot was simple. The acting was great. I hope that when im older i can make a movie that has real people and not all the fake garbage that american film is today.
John Hughes please release your full 2 and a half hour version. That would trully be awsome.

John Hughes makes the best movies(The Breakfast Club,Weird Science,Sixteen Candles, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off) When my mom first showed this movie I was hooked on the 80s. I have a collection of 13 80s flicks and I keep them seperated from my other movies. I even love the music and the lingo. i knew it was the same high school as it was in the other movies. Sorry, i was just answering a comment. Okay 1st of all, THE BREAKFAST CLUB is the best movie ever made!!! I love FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF alot too but my all time fav movie is THE BREAKFAST CLUB!!! My only thing i didn't like was they didn't make a second movie, i wish they would have made at least a part 2 to this excellent, superb, great & totally fantastic movie of all time!!!
Okay I know that this was & always will be a GREAT MOVIE but what happened to the cast. Molly Ringwald & Emilio Estevez(he really is the son of Martin Sheen & brother of Charlie Sheen)& Judd Nelson & Ally Sheedy & Anthony Michael Hall were ALL great in this movie. Paul Gleason was great in this movie too. Why in the world didn't they make more movies about school detention or high school life, I know for sure that I def would have loved all of the movies alot, I mean c'mon, THE BREAKFAST CLUB was,is,&always will be the best movie ever made
