MCT:August 25, 2008Great movie. This movie was really good. Its a remake of an Asian film. The original was probably better. This movie seemed more like a drama movie. But like the last half hour of it started getting really interesting. Thens when most of the good parts happen. I thought the ending was okay but I wished it was different. Pretty cool to see when people are going to die.

There is a faint oriental air to the film with does add a bit of mystery. Jessica Alba was great in this!

The English Version wasn't scary at all, but there were some parts that looked exactly alike in the Chinese Version.....but all I'm saying is that the Chinese Version was terrifying then this one?:O
Also, some parts really made me jump a little which it wasn't good. -

it was okay.. not as scary as i thought

MCT:August 21, 2008A moody and atmospheric horror film which stands above most recent movies of the genre and actually delivers some decent frights. A concert violinist blind for most of her life receives a corneal transplant and begins receiving visions of ghosts and future events. Although the film is better than most, the ending robs the plot of much of its impact.

I may be a bit biased cause i love Jess Alba, but this was pretty good. Definitely not as scary as i thought it would be, so i enjoyed it alot more. The ending was a bit disappointing though.

The Eye is another weak remake of a Japanese horror/thriller, the story and idea is a good one and would work really well. However, the casting of Jessica Alba is a bad choice as we all know she can't act but this isn;t the only downfall it just lacks the dark scary feel it should have.

Most of todays horror films and especially the ones that are made from original japanese films doesn't have anything else to show for than the usual scare tactic.
It get's really predictable.
Average acting by Alba and Alessandro Nivola. -

OMFG this movie was so scary!!!!!!!! we watched it in the middle of the night and got so freaked out. one of the scariest parts was when the dead guy suddenly appeared out of nowhere and tried to attack sydney and paul when they were driving. then we looked at the time and it was exactly 1 hr. 6 min into the movie. we all just started screaming!!

I was a little skeptic when I rented it, but I was in for a crazy ride. This was the first movie that made me get goose-pumples all over my body. I felt like I was in the movie. LOL great pick, a must see.

I wish I could remember how many times I said " Ohhh $hit! " I have a whole new found respect for her acting after this movie! The Storyline was decent and Jessica Alba is really the only person that could have pulled that part off.. everyone else would have failed...

A remake of the Pang Brothers 2002 Hong Kong hit Gin gwai, The Eye is actually a Hollywood rip-off. The Eye's strengths lie in its superb visuals, effective scares and, above all, the impressive and convincing performance of Jessica Alba. This movie serves a few good scares and some interesting ideas, managing to be halfway refreshing compared to most horror films lately.

i thought this movie was good. but i suggest that people NOT eat OR drink while watching this. To many "Jump Factors." I almost spilled my slurpee all over the place. And also, Jessica Alba's character is CRAZY!!! Why go towards the problems when you can back away from them.. her character Sydney, should learn commen sense.
