The Disney machine is beginning the process of churning out a new mega star. They have succeeded in launching Miley Cyrus, Hilary Duff and Zac Effron and they’re poised to catapult another teen to stardom. They have a tried and true formula, money and the connections to make it happen.
Through an open casting call, Demi Lovato, 15, was hand plucked because of her good looks, lively personality and a resume of talent in multiple areas. The Disney machine introduced the bubbly brunette to viewers through a role in the Disney Channel’s As the Bell Rings. But that is only step one for the teen.
Next up will be a starring role opposite the Jonas Brothers in Camp Rock, a Disney Channel movie premiering in June that is shades of High School Musical. Then Demi will hit the road for a concert tour with the band. That will be followed by another Disney Channel movie, Princess Protection Program...
